MOVING ON print of mixed media artwork by Owen Bonner-Morgan

ARTIST STATEMENT: Photographs glued down onto wooden boards with oil paint worked over the top which creates the misty and faded look to the piece. Using these techniques, a diptych collage was created. This work is in response to my struggles with my family caused by the separation of my parents. The main influence for this piece of work was Robert Rauschenberg and his many silk-screen prints he created in the mid-1960's. ABOUT THE ARTIST: This piece is Shortlisted in the 2022 Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize in Guernsey. Owen created this piece aged 17 while a student at Elizabeth College. Owen has been shortlisted twice in the SAF Students Prize.
